Hundreds of people attended Canada Day festivities at Joussard July 1. The Joussard Community Association held activities for children and adults inside the hall and adjacent grounds. After a short opening ceremony, about 100 participated in the popular bicycle parade. Afterwards, children enjoyed games and a selection of huge bouncy castles. Children jumped all day for a mere $5. Nearby, others kept cool courtesy of the Joussard Volunteer Fire Department, who provided a steady spray of water for squealing children and a few adults. Supper and fireworks concluded the day. Adults enjoyed cribbage, horseshoes and Wash ‘n Toss. Karaoke and music with Lasting Impressions, then fireworks ended the day.
