Replacement of the east wall of the High Prairie and District Museum building began Jan. 5. Museum executive director Darlene Adams says the contractor built an exterior, temporary wall with plywood before removing any of the blocks. The area will be heated and the inside wall to the museum will be covered with a tarp to keep dust and debris out and artifacts safe. The contractor has also agreed to keep an employee on site 24 hours a day, and town peace officers will also be doing regular patrols around the building to deter vandals.
