Repaving of the parking lot at the Sports Palace in High Prairie was completed on Aug. 21.
The parking lot by the Sports Palace and west of the Town of High Prairie office was resurfaced with new pavement. Work crews from E-Construction of Slave Lake paved the parking lot on Aug. 29-21. Paving was also completed around the High Prairie Golden Age Club and High Prairie and District Museum. The project cost the town $331,000, with a $20,000 contingency. The parking lot had previously been paved in the 1970s, says public works Supt. Vern Walker.

Paving contractors lay the new asphalt on the parking lot behind the Golden Age Centre.

Paving crews progress towards the front part of the parking lot behind the High Prairie and District Museum.
