Several new trees were planted at MacIntyre Park by Town of High Prairie public works crews and volunteers on July 26. Town council and the High Prairie Community Beautification Association have partnered in the project. Association members and town crews planted two flowering trees, two weeping birch trees, an Ohio Buckeye and a sugar maple. Planned to be opened for the 150th birthday of Canada in 2017, the park project also includes a gazebo, picnic tables and benches, a concrete chessboard and checkerboard, and flowers. The project is headed by Trish Long.
