RCMP once again have their man.
On Nov, 18, McLennan RCMP responded to a complaint and information indicating an accused male wanted on outstanding warrants was at a residence in Donnelly.
RCMP responded to the call for service. Upon arrival at the residence, a male matching the description of the accused was observed entering a residence.
“RCMP members surrounded and secured the residence and completed a warrant to enter a dwelling,” says Sgt. Mark MacDougald, detachment commander.
“The warrant was executed with the assistance of RCMP Police Dog Services. Thirty-three year old Shawn Carlin Griffiths, originally from Peace River, was located and arrested in a crawl space under the residence.”
Griffiths remains in custody and is facing numerous charges including domestic assault with a weapon and four charges of failing to comply with conditions of a release from an incident on Nov. 1.
Griffiths faces three new charges of failing to comply with conditions of a previous release from the arrest and investigation on Nov. 18.
Griffiths appeared in court to answer to the charges Dec. 1, too late for press.
Police remind the public to report suspicious activity to the nearest RCMP detachment, police agency, or Crime Stoppers.
