Eve Keay leaps over the bar in the Intermediate Girl’s High Jump at the High Prairie School Division Track and Field Meet in High Prairie May 16. Keay, who attends Prairie RIver Junior High School in High Prairie, won the event.

This year’s High Prairie School Division Track and Field Meet was held under perfect conditions in High Prairie May 16. The early spring allowed for early training, and the result was evident as 13 records fell [see list below]. All schools help to hold the annual meet, as teachers and assistants run different events. Many students are also assigned roles to record the results. High Prairie schools dominated the meet by sheer numbers. Prairie River Junior High School and E.W. Pratt High School won both aggregate titles by wide margins. Coverage of the junior high portion of the meet is on Spotlight page 3, while senior high coverage is on Spotlight page 5. Results are provided at the source. Numbers are included, if recorded. All race times were not recorded.
