There’s a crowd of photos posted on the South Peace News brand new website at [southpeacenews.com] from the High Prairie Sportsmen Show two weekends ago.
Plus, right after the show there was another group of photos posted on the HighPrairie.com website that are still there.
Both websites are “under construction” as they have been getting rebuilt the past few weeks.

Here’s a story about Blue Box recycling in Fort St. John. It has a problem apparently.
No longer is old Rover or Whiskers being buried in local backyards when they pass away to doggie and kitty heaven. People are tossing the carcasses into the boxes they program uses. Needless to say, this is causing great distress down the line where people are sorting the paper, cardboard, glass, tin and…oops, what the heck is this maggot-riddled bundle of fur and goo?
Ewwwww! Nasty business, eh?

Well, we’re on pins and needles wondering what’s happening with the River Queen boat in Edmonton, owned by our own local Lesser Slave Lake Indian Regional Council.
The boat was up for auction with the closing date this Saturday just past. Remember, the last bid over a week ago was $38,000. That seems such a low amount to see it all end up in a scrap yard someplace, being stripped to her bones.
We’ve racked our brains trying to come up with a reason to put in on Lesser Slave Lake. Best we got is anchored right off a place that has no neighbours bound to complain about their view being ruined. A big campground has to be ready to supply customers, if only for drinks and a meal.
And, of course, an owner or two dozen willing to put in all the effort it would take to refurbish it all up.
Heck, it really doesn’t have to sit in water does it?
