Calling all chefs! And their little helpers who think they cook the best hamburger in town.
A Father – Teen Master Chef Barbecue Cookoff is being held June 17 at part of the annual Big Rig Showcase.
Each team will be comprised of one father [adult male caregiver] and one youth 10-17 years. All equipment will be provided including a barbecue, grilling equipment, meat, cheese, toppings and buns.
Then let the cooking begin!
Everyone is welcome to attend. There is no entry fee.
First, second and third place prizes will be awarded for best hamburgers and best barbecue sauce.
The cookoff is being sponsored by the High Prairie and District Children’s Resource Council. It is also part of the annual Father’s Day Big Rig celebration, where everyone is invited to join the festivities and tour the “big rigs” on site.
Activities are being held in the High Prairie Legion Hall parking lot.
