Twice is Nice Awards funds

by | Dec 3, 2024 | News

Nov. 18, the Twice is Nice Boutique Society in High Prairie made three donations to regional community groups including High Prairie Minor Hockey (designated for its Pond Hockey program), the High Prairie Regals, and the High Prairie Community Beautification Association. The society says the organizations were chosen because they do an excellent job in promoting community spirit by providing activities and/or services in the area. Twice Is Nice operates a store in downtown High Prairie that relies 100 per cent on donations. Profits by the volunteer group are awarded to community organizations. Some donations are public but many others are private to protect confidentiality, including victims of fire and health disorders.

Twice is Nice Boutique Society director Rosanne Ochran, middle, presents a $5,000 donation to High Prairie Minor Hockey designated for its Pond Hockey Program Nov. 18. Accepting the donation are Jonathan Hesse, left, director of High Prairie Minor Hockey, and Monika Benoit, manager of the Pond Hockey program for High Prairie Minor Hockey, right. Absent is Breana Fath, who also helps the program.
