We filled a bus for the food bank!

by | Dec 12, 2024 | Events, Schools

High Prairie School Division collected more than 700 pounds of food and more than $1,000 in cash donations during the annual Fill-a-Bus campaign Nov. 29. The food and donation drive was held at Freson Bros. during the High Prairie Winter Light-Up. Left-right, are HPSD executive assistant Shauna Gauthier and finance administrator Rhoda Fabian. The drive raised 730 pounds of food and more than $1,200 in monetary donations to the High Prairie and District Food Bank, says Kyle Nichols, director of communications. HPSD thanks everyone who supported the campaign. “Your generosity truly makes a difference in the lives of local families, ”Nichols says. “It’s in the spirit of coming together and supporting one another that makes the community such a wonderful place to call home.” Bus driver Kevin Baker drove the bus in the Santa Claus Parade and purchasing and fleet operations clerk Angie Zelman worked tirelessly to decorate the bus. HPSD expresses a special thanks to store manager Steve McLeod and staff for their continued support.
