Big Lakes County will host an open house Nov. 23 in Joussard to present the draft municipal development and the land-use bylaw.
Staff and consultants will outline the draft documents at the Joussard Community Hall with a presentation at 5:30 p.m.
County council, staff, and residents have been working with V3 Companies of Canada to rewrite the county’s MDP and LUB for more than one year.
“This will wrap up our public consultation,” Reeve Ken Matthews says.
“Everyone will be given final opportunity to comment before the public hearing.”
Council is expected to give MDP and LUB first reading next month with a public hearing in January, says Pat Olanksy, director of planning and development.
“We received the third draft last week,” Olansky says.
Copies of the documents are available at county offices in High Prairie, Joussard, and Kinuso and on the county website at biglakescounty.ca.
